"How calmly and genially the mind apprends one after another the laws of Physics!"

Welcome to Physics 128

Physics for Scientists and Engineers I, (Physics 128), is the first of a two semester sequence covering the fundamentals of classical physics. Among the topics covered are kinematics, Newtonian dynamics, energy and momentum conservation, rotational dynamics and oscillations. The course uses calculus and students should either have completed a semester of calculus or be currently enrolled in Calculus I.

The course meets 4 days a week (for 70 minutes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and 110 minutes on Thursday). It is taught in "Studio" mode meaning that the lab and lecture components are intergrated into a single classroom experience.
